DESCRIPTION: Portaul was inspired by a viral TikTok about a doctor who lost her medical license for telling her friend that a man at the bar she had just met and was about to go home with had an STI. It struck a chord with Dr. Doyinsola Kuku, founder of Portaul. That’s when she realised the current system is broken and unfit for how people form connections today, especially in our digitally driven dating culture. There’s no trusted, safe way to manage and communicate sexual health, creating serious ethical, legal, and physical risks. Leaving a massive opportunity to prevent STIs.

From our landmark Rampa Lagos event — which drew surprise appearances from Burna Boy and Olamide alongside one of electronic music’s most revered names — to our upcoming Black Coffee Lagos on April 5, 2026, every event we produce is a statement about what this city is capable of. Lagos is not catching up. Lagos is the destination.
